Description utomo99 2003-09-10 09:59:58 UTC
I would like to request simple option:
To reset all option to default setting (same as the setting is used after
installation finish). It will change all value/setting to default setting.
Comment 1 utomo99 2003-09-17 02:58:47 UTC
This option will reset all setting in the option to default setting,
so user who already change the setting and feel the default setting is
the best can use this to rest it to default setting
Comment 2 Oliver Specht 2003-09-17 07:31:26 UTC
os->utomo: What makes you think this enhancement is worth a OOo 1.1.1
target?
Target set to OOo 2.0
Reassigned to BH.
Comment 3 utomo99 2003-09-17 07:50:52 UTC
utomo>oc: OK, sorry.
Yes, you are correct, that 2.0 is OK, i Think .
Thanks

Comment 5 bettina.haberer 2003-10-24 11:37:46 UTC
Hello Carsten, I consider this a very good idea to have the
possibility to default all the made settings at a central spot. I
imagine e.g. the situation of a teacher, who likes to be able to
quickly reset all the miss-configured PCs in the classroom for the
next lesson, what needs a lot of time with the current behaviour.
Please give approval for this evaluated OO.o 2.0 flagged issue.
If you confirm with the target OO.o 2.0, then please keep it on your
owner (or the owner of the concerning developer) for implementation.
In case you want this issue for 'OOo Later', then please reset the
target milestone. If you decline the issue finally, please set the
resolution to 'Wontfix' (but do not close). In case of 'OOo Later' or
'Wontfix' please reset it on Bettina's owner. Thank you.

CD->BH: From my side ( ui configuration ) this shouldn't be a problem.
You have to find all the other maintainers who are responsible for all
the other settings. I can only give you my point of view for this
request for enhancement and therefor cannot give you the approval for
OOo 2.0.
Comment 7 Oliver Specht 2003-10-24 12:58:09 UTC
All the settings that are stored in user/registry AFAIK can be reset
to default by simply deleting all the registry files.
The same applies to the user/autocorrect and user/autotext directories
that contain AutoCorrection/AutoText files.
I'm not sure which other settings are stored and where they are stored.
Comment 8 bettina.haberer 2003-11-12 10:28:26 UTC
Hello utomo99, such a feature will be covered in OO.o 2.0. There
exists a PCD, but that id is an internal one (in an internal
trackingsystem). Due to technical reason it is not possible to set
this issue as duplicate to that product concept document. So I set
this one back to your owner. Please keep it, until this feature is
implemented in OO.o 2.0. Then you can close it. Thank you.

Bettina, could you point me to the ID of the bug you are referencing.
Thanks, Stefan
Comment 10 Oliver Specht 2004-10-27 07:23:53 UTC
It's #111497#. It has been retargeted to 'later'.
Comment 11 stx123 2004-10-27 09:19:02 UTC
So we see that 'utomo99' is not able to track the issue...
Comment 12 Marcus 2017-05-20 11:29:19 UTC
