Example of problem
reassigned to mru I can Reproduce the problem on OpenOffice 1.1 RC4(default Install, US), Win XP Pro Sp1. (And MS Office XP Sp2). It is real problem Open the example.doc in Word and OOo writer and compare page 5 Table 1.2 1 displayed in OOo as Table 1.2‑1.2.1 utomo>johannesg: next time please give better pointing, in which page, or which part is not correct, so we can find it easier. MRU->AMA: Word has this divided into two fields; a Ref to the the Chapter and the table sequence number. Writer displays this as one field, but is only able to enable/disable the chapter number globally. Thus the hapter is also displayed as plain text. Improvement is needed for Interoperability... How much effort by whom? Then we'll decide if it's doable for OOo2.0 ? os->cmc: IMO there should be one field for the chapter number Document/Chapter - Chapter number, Layer = 2 and a number sequence field Variables/Number range/Table and Level=none. a) Importing the number sequence field as Variables/Number range/Table and Level=none is possible b) But the other field in word references the style with a styleref field. Here the field being referenced is "style number 2", i.e. heading 2. If the style was style 14 it would refer to a different style entirely, while our "chapter" thing is what is in outline numbering which just happens to match the desired style here. Will write a seperate issue to consider that. I'll import the seq field as os's suggestion, and leave a decision on the other StyleRef field import to issue 19981 as there is more to it than appears in this example. Seq does in kilkennyfilterteam14 for 2.0 (i.e. document looks correct) reopen to reassign cmc->mru: implemented as described in kilkennyfilterteam14 Checked fix in CWS Kilkennyfilterteam14. Fix will be included in OO 2.0. At the moment, this is not the full fix; remaining task is issue 19981, as Caolán pointed out. checked with src680m19 ==> ok |
