AutoCorrect/Word Completion the default setting of current version of OO.o shows "suggested word" inline, which is very annoying. "Show as tip" is by far more nice, not obstruct the eye focus when typing. OO.o should use "Show as tip" as a default setting for Word Completion feature. thank you. note: Microsoft Word's word completion also has a behavior like OO.o's "Show as tip"

My negative vote for this proposal. The "inline" solution for word completion is far more "intuitive", in terms of self-descriptiveness and suitability for the task (for explanations please refer to Part 10 of ISO 9241 "Ergonomic requirements for office work with visual display terminals"). Furthermore, its easier to read (that's the other side of the coin "obstruct the eye focus"). And you have a better control on how your document will look like if you insert this very word. For those not agreeing, we still have an option for a bubble-help style word completion. So they can have what they prefer with a simple click. But I don't see any need to change the default behavior here. MSO does not count here because a) we are not aiming for a free (beer) Word clone and b) we decide according to usability guidelines and acknowledged standards, not according to what others do (because we even don't know why they do what they do).
