Excel can handle .tab files (tab delimited files) when they are double clicked.
Opening them in Open Office requires that the files are renamed to .csv and the
delimiter type in the dialog box which is displayed be changed from 'comma' to
'tab'.
Would it be possible to bypass this dialog box for .tab files?

This one is duplicate to 1834. If you don't agree because this task descripes
another problem, please reopen this task and add a more detailed description.
