Please reproduce the following steps:

- double-click any cell to edit it
- press the bold button
- insert any letter (for example "a")
- place the cursor left bevore the letter
- switch of bold-mode (now you will see, that the bolf-button does not really 
look switched off; don't know how you call this state)
- insert any text

Now you will see that this text is bold, although we turned it off.
