Hi markellse, thanks for using and supporting OpenOffice.org... to make increasing/reducing fonts easier there are at least two was: 1. rightclick the object bar -> visible buttons -> Increase Font rightclick the object bar -> visible buttons -> Reduce Font ==> increasing/reducing fonts by mouseclick 2. You can define your own shortcutkeys using Tools->Configure -> Tab "Keyboard" I agree there should be a "pre-configured" way to increase/reduce fonts... reassigned to bh original summary "Shrinking and expanding font size" see also issue 8824 *** Issue 12171 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. *** *** Issue 27800 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. *** I wrote the Issue 27800 and I finally found that I was wrong: "1. rightclick the object bar -> visible buttons -> Increase Font rightclick the object bar -> visible buttons -> Reduce Font ==> increasing/reducing fonts by mouseclick" However, "Increase Font" and "Reduce Font" are not available in OOo Draw or even in Calc! I guess that's where I looked for it in the first place, otherwise I guess I would have found it, since that was exactly what I was trying to do. I can see a reason for omitting this in OOo Draw, since you always can use the "Fit to frame" option, but I can't see a reason why "Increase/Reduce Font" are not available in OOo Calc (other than that MS Excel doesn't have it either, but OOo is supposed to be BETTER than MSOffice, right?). It would be very useable anyway, wouldn't it? I miss it every day. Or maybe it would be even more convenient to add something like "Fit to cell" somewhere in the "Format Cells... " dialog. Many thanks again. *** Issue 38025 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. *** I have Shift+Ctrl+, and Shift+Ctrl+. set up as the shortcuts on my MS Office, if that helps. AFAIK, they were the default settings. Dan *** Issue 41254 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. *** The default should be Ctrl+[ and Ctrl-]... yet these cannot even be defined as keyboard shortcuts (see issue 54855). So, is this one double of issue 4756 ? Hwoarang not entirely, but very close related. This issue is to add default shortcuts to the already existing functionality. issue 4756 is about having this available in every app and furthermore have it work when the selection includes different font-sizes. So these two are very closely related, and thus I set it to the blocks-field and do some janitorial stuff (setting keywords, reassigning) Dear all developers, I maybe new to this but I've seen many asking for "this function with <key> as default/pre-defined". And I see there are also this "platform problem (windows/linux)" to add the enhancement for user to add new shortcut key by themself. How about let this enhancement (add new shortcut key) included in the next release and let user choose which best for their own platform. Surely if they know that those shortcut not allowed on their platform they won't using it. And yeah I'm one of those who miss those shortcuts like "Increase font size by one point" and "Paragraph Line Spacing 1/2/1.5" from MSOffice. Best Regards. please consider this issue to be fixed for OOo 3.2 which is planned for september 2009 http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/OOoRelease32 According with last comment |
