Description norbert2 2004-04-30 11:29:11 UTC
I found 3 cases, where the OOo-applications behave different in handling with
drawing-objcects:

1.
if you ...

- double click a drawn rectangle for example:
All OOo-apps switch in text-edit-mode.
But only Drawing-application and Impress have now a switch button to switch the
objectbar between text-format and objext-style mode.

*** I suggest that such a switch-button should be shown for _ALL_ applications
just when selecting a drawing-object, so that the user can switch to text-
format-mode (and back to objext-style mode). ***

2.
make sure that you are in text edit-mode (double-click a drawn object)

if you then ...

- click (singleclick) in the rectangle:

Drawing-application and Calc: the additional single click does nothing
(application remains in text-edit-mode)

Writer and Impress: the additional single click leaves text-edit-mode that was
switched on after double-click

*** _I suggest that ALL_ OOo-apps should behave same. I suggest the behaviour
of writer and impress for ALL applications. ***

3.
make sure that you are in text-edit-mode (double-click a drawn object)

if you then ...

- press ESC:

Calc and Writer: ESC leaves the text-edit-mode

Drawing-application and Impress: ESC leaves the edit-mode but the text-shapes
seems to remain selected because the objectbar remains in text-format-mode.

*** I suggest that _ALL_ applications should leave the text-edit-mode but the
object should be kept selected and a switch-button in the objectbar, like I
describe in "1.". ***
