Description bobharvey 2004-06-12 20:25:57 UTC
This request is for /both/ Word Processor & Spreadsheet, at least, so I have put
it in Framework.

I'd like to suggest that PDF export should be able to generate PDFs with
"Bookmarks" (Tables of contents) based either on heading levels, OOo bookmarks,
spreadsheet tabs, whatever. This would obviously require a dialogue of some
sort to determine /what/ becomes the indexing structure in PDFs..

I'e seen the enhanced PDF macro, but deploying gs to each of my clients might be
problematic: it's also a shame to bypass the built in PDF output.

Err..
I get the impression that some, at least, of these features have made it to the
2.0 beta already? I just checked, and Writer Headings get exported as adobe
bookmarks at least.

Is there some other issue this should be linked to?

I don't want to abandon the mapping of Bookmarks, spreadsheet tabs, etc though.

that linked issue would be issue 32000, this would be an enhancement to the work
done for 2.0

I still think this is a good idea, 2 years on.
Comment 5 bobharvey 2007-03-21 13:29:07 UTC
Further to the reply of Feb 16 2006, now that issue is closed, should this not
be linked to issue 20327?

Any more thoughts about putting spreadsheet tabs, draw sheet names, etc. into
the pdf links?

To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on
my owner to the owner "requirements".
