Description kelvine 2004-06-14 10:41:01 UTC
Hi,

If the Data Source window is left closed and the scale changed from 80% to
130% the Data Source window when opened either before or after appears as
expected.

If the Data Source window is left open however things do not work as expected.

To reproduce the behaviour
Open Writer
Select Tools -> Options -> OpenOffice.org -> View
Change Scale to 80%
Press F4 to open the Data Source window
Select the Biblio table so the data is visible
Select Tools -> Options -> OpenOffice.org -> View
Change Scale to 130%

The data and row headings are not adjusted as expected

Close the Data Source window and reopen again and view the data.
Everything is now as would be expected.

Hope this helps.

Kelvin, thanks for reporting this.
I'm adjusting the priority according to
http://www.openoffice.org/scdocs/ddIssues_EnterModify.html#priority.

Hi,

I should have been a little more explicit in the description I suspect. Works
as expected doesn't really say much.

If you change zoom settings with the Data Source window closed, no matter what
scale setting, when you open the data source window and open the Biblio table,
the column headings are the right height for the font. The column widths are
also pleasantly sized taking into account the field names. (This may obviously
not be the size the user wants, but it looks good to start with.)

If you have the data source window open and then adjust the scale setting as
described below, the column headings are not the right height for the font and
the field names in the column headings tend to be truncated.

This still happens as of m51. It is slightly different to OO1.1.2, but the
effect is still the same.

Basically IMHO, if the scale is changed in Tools -> Options the data source
window needs to be redrawn if it is open.

This is not a major issue as the user can open and close the data source
window if required. Also the user is unlikely to frequently adjust the scale
once they have it set to what they want.

Hope this helps
