If I select a word in OOo Writer by double clicking and cut it using Ctrl-X,
Writer handles the spaces around it intelligently, leaving only a single space
in place of the cut word. However, if I delete the word using Backspace or
Delete, Writer ignores the spaces and leaves two where the word was.

This is obviously not ideal - could the same smart spacing be applied to
deletions and to cutting/pasting?

ES->BH: we already have enhancement requests for
copy/cut/paste/X-selection/drag&drop and the trailing/starting added/suppressed
blank.

We should add this one too
