System: RH 7.3 (libc-2.2.5.so). OOo 1.1.0 (cs) installed and running smoothly.
...> rpm -q --provides glibc|grep GCC
libc.so.6(GCC_3.0) 

When installing v. 1.1.2 (cs):
.../OOo_1.1.2_LinuxIntel_install_czech > ./setup -net
./setup: /lib/i686/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.3' not found (required by ./setup)

Have you tried ftp://ftp.linux.cz/pub/localization/OpenOffice.org/1.1.2/old_glibc/ ?
