Description Olaf Felka 2004-09-27 09:13:45 UTC
- installed the chinese language pack (linux) - selected chinese as gui language in tools | options | language settings - restarting the office and open this settings again - the selection of the gui language is completly translated in chinese - this is not helpfull and at least we should add an entry that is tranlated in the related gui language

The strings currently displayed are shared with the other language selection boxes, for which the translation makes sense. As discussed personally, you might to update the spec to take care of this request.

FT: Actually its true that it is more sensible to use a list of languages in which every single language is written in its own lingo. Unfortunatley this will not make it in 2.0. Nevertheless I will add this feature to the "Future Tasks" section of the following spec: http://specs.openoffice.org/g11n/language_selection/language_selection.sxw FT->Lars: Please add this issue to your top-do list for the successor release of 2.0. Thx

I think that we should do this for OOo 3.0.
