If you assign text to a line or a connector the line goes through the text,
making the text difficult to read. It would be nice to have an option to "break"
the line like this: 
" ---- some text ----> ". 
This could be possibly done so that one could assing a backround color to the
text so that that no lines behind the object would go through the text.

The Issue you raised is currently 'Unconfirmed' pending review, but has not been

latest versions of OOo, as the problem(s) may have already been addressed.

To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on
my owner to the owner "requirements".

This issue is still present, as of OO v 4.1.3.

Issue 60713 is the same (Status: Confirmed).

I've added my input there, which see (Issue 60713 - connector lines should not stike [sic] out text). (Should be "strike" out)
