When users want to add one color in presentation or drawing, they can't just
pick that color value by Eyedropper and add it into color table in
"tools->options->general->color", because in eyedropper dialog, there's no color
value [RGB or CMYK] of that color showing out, and there's no one widget in
color dialog saying get one color from eyeedropper dialog.
For users who want to do so, they have to get that color by eyedropper, and copy
that color to Paint program in Windows, or something in other OSs, and then they
could get the color value [RGB or CMYK]. After that copy the numbers to color
dialog. It's not user friendly.

So I propose that:
1) we can add one button in eyedropper dialog to bring up color dialog in order
to save that color into color tables; Or
2) show out the color value in eyedropper dialog, users could copy them manually
to color dialog; Or
3) show one button or other widget in color dialog, user could "fetch" colors in
opening eyedropper dialog.

I think 2) is the easiest one, but 1) is most user friendy. :) Thanks.

Amended Summary.
Taken from Issue 102036: ...
"Many drawing programs (e.g. Inkscape) have a function to match colors that
already exist in the document. Often it's represented by an eyedropper icon.
Using the eyedropper cursor, one clicks on a point or drags over a region, and
the color of that point (or average color for a region) is displayed. Or
better, transferred directly to a selected object. I'm importing files created
elsewhere, and not having this feature has stopped me cold in my project.

Surely this functionality exists, but I just haven't found it, in which case I
apologize.

Surely this is a duplicate request, but I just haven't found it, in which case I
apologize.
"

To manage the many suggestions for enhancing the color palette, I have created a
meta-issue here:
Issue 105642 - Re-design and UI improvements for color palettes

The purpose of the new issue is for management only, it does not duplicate
specific design requests (that we wish to capture).

Many thanks,
Andrew

To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on
my owner to the owner "requirements".
