Start a new presentation with blank page.
Insert a textbox with some text and some background to see the box.
Set the 'Text Animation' to 3 'Animation Cycles' and check 'Text visible when
exiting' in Format - Text - Textanimation.
Set the graphic-object 'Animation Effect' to 'Open Horizontally'.
Watch the effects in the Preview.
Now start presentation. The textbox opens after mouseclick, but the text is not
visible.

Hi

My Software Configuration : Windows XP SP2, running OpenOffice 1.1.3
My Hardware Configuration : Mobile AMD Atholon 1.20Ghz, 256MB RAM

Confirm the bug. Although the file provided worked properly, following the
instructions given I could replicate the problem.

I tried the following tests :

Test 1 : Tried to to try if the text appears individually. No text animation,
only graphics animation.
Result : As expected, the text appeared and the text box was animated

Test 2 : The text animated for 3 cycles but not the text box object.
Result : worked like expected, text got animated and the textbox appeared with
the background color (unanimated)

Test 3 : Tried to create the graphics animation first and then the text
animation (If order was the problem).
Result : Same as the problem specified above, The text does not appear.

It looks like the combination of these graphic-object animation overrides the
text animation settings.
