Well, you have to differtiate between links and hyperlinks... you talk about hyperlinks, when I got you right. These can be edited via Edit.Hyperlink or Format.Character.Hyperlink. If you don't want such adresses to turn into hyperlinks, switch it off in Tools.Aotocorrect I'm talking about Links, not Hyperlinks. Link is automatically assigned when You for example type C:\MyDocuments I don't see this as worksforme -please read the issue once again. There is not intuitive way to remove automatically assigned Link, and Edit -> Links dosen't work either. Yes, these ARE hyperlinks, you are talking about! Changing an expression like C:\MyDocument IS a format change into Hyperlink format and exactly the thing, which can be turned on and off in "Tools.AutoCorrect.Options" by the option "URL recognition". Links which can be edited by "Edit.Links" are links which are created by linking content to the content of a different file, e.g. linked graphics or linked sections. Closed. Well, there are 2 more issues than: 1, Autohinter suggests that what I have created is Link (not Hyperlink) 2, Yes, I can disable Autocorrect so that he dosen't add Hyperlink. You stil haven't answered however, and I must insist on that, _how_could_I_edit/remove_existent_links_in_comfortable_and/or_intuitive_way_. The Edit.Hyperlinks dosen't function too, by the way. In this case, this is of course not a defect. More an Enhancement request. MRU->BH: a way to make removing hyperlinks from a text is requested. The Edit|Hyperlink dialog works to edit the target of hyperlinks. It does not work to *remove* hyperlinks -> duplicate. To remove hyperlinks, choose Format|Default (or use the context-menu) or Choose Format|Characters->tab "Hyperlink" and remove the link-target. If you want to edit the text (not the target), you can klick on the "HYP" in the statusbar to switch between "SEL" (selection-mode) and HYP (hyperlink-mode) duplicate. If the Edit|Hyperlink-function really is grayed out, please file a seperate issue. (you have to put the cursor in the link-text or select the link-text. you must not include other (non-hyperlinked) text in the selection) *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 7311 *** closing duplicate. And to avoid confusion: You must use Edit|Hyperlink, not Edit|Links as mru pointed out. If the help really states to use Edit|Links to modify an hyperlink, please file an issue against the documentation project (and mention the issue number here). |
