Changed component to database access. Reassigned to Marc. assigned to you because it's an enhancement changed title from app appears to hang while importing system address book to [RFE] show progress bar or animation while importing system address book , cause I think the old title suggested not what is requested here. In addition, assigning this to the submitter for a more concrete description. "cHANCE", what do you mean with "importing system address book"? Where exactly do you think OOo is not responsive enough? screen shot of dialog that causes the screen to freeze for several seconds
When you run Openoffice components for the first time, the address Auto-pilot runs automatically. When it does run, it freezes my system; it would be better if some sort of progress was indicated on the screen during address import work otherwise it appears the system hangs. the bug summary seems appropriate, feel free to modify it I apologize as I don't know whom to assign this; if I get it wrong please correct me and accept my mistake. cheers! grabbing it for the moment - is confirmed as valid RFE, so no need to bother QA. setting target milestone to OOo 2.0 previous comment wrong: set TM to "OOo Later" change subcomponent to 'none' assigning to user experience team for evaluation I believe the concept is somewhat different in 2.0. Thus thus issue is closable. To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on my owner to the owner "requirements". |
