Description 7kaltoid 2004-12-05 18:32:51 UTC
Using HP LaserJet 4000, W98SE

Envelopes are fed from the Manual Tray only. There is no envelope feeder.

System/network configuration: The router has a built-in print server which
allows a printer which doesn't have an internal network card to be used as a
network printer. That shouldn't make any difference as it works perfectly with
every other app and OS on the network.

A #10 envelope is consistently printed as if it were a piece of narrow paper in
portrait mode even though the print preview is correct. In other words, the
narrow edge is at the top and the printing runs across.

After making all the settings as they should be, when I click on the last OK to
start printing, a message pops up that says that the Page Setup has been
modified and asks if I want to save the new settings. It doesn't matter what
answer is selected, nothing is saved and the printing is not correctly oriented.
It appears that at the time of sending this message, the system reverts to
Portrait orientation in the printer settings. The settings are always in
Portrait mode whenever they are called up.

I cant print the same document on the same machine
when changing from 1.1.2 to m65

I have m65 on linux fc2
local machine queue has hp laserjet 2100 with pxlmono driver and cups
printing to a lpd server with the printer

OO1.1.2 uses paper C10 landscape, generic printer SGENPRT, manual print, resolution
prints envelopes fine

M65 has same setup and parameters except no resolution parameter

M65 prints the envelope wrong direction, return address sideways, no
addressee address

page preview on both programs shows envelope format correctly

Any help greatly appreciated
TIA
