Description aaronforjesus 2004-12-21 21:44:29 UTC
I ran across a problem where Writer is incorrectly importing an MS Word document
that contains custom caption numbering. It then does not correctly generate
indices based on those custom captions. The following MS Word file contains
tables and figures on page 2 that contain custom captions, with an index
generated from each type of captions on page 1. A pdf is created in both MS Word
and OOo to highlight the difference.

MRU->OS: there are some user defined number range fields imported on page two.
Could you please evaluate, why these do not count as expected?
Comment 5 Oliver Specht 2005-01-03 09:11:56 UTC
The fields have the name 'Figure_A-'. The evaluation in Writer's calculator
works on the expression string which is 'Figure_A-+1'. This evaluation doesn't
work. Fields names containing operators are therefor not allowed to be inserted
with the user interface.

->mmaher: Please change the import accordingly
Comment 6 andreas.martens 2005-01-17 16:42:45 UTC
If it's not fixed in time for OOo2.0, it should be fixed for OOo2.0.1.

mmaher->flr: Your's methinks
Comment 8 andreas.martens 2005-05-25 14:44:37 UTC
Considering the effort, the priority, the risk and our resource planning I've to
retarget this issue to OOo Later.
