Description prodoc 2005-01-24 16:02:52 UTC
I just started using templates in OOo and as you might have guessed for a first
time user of this feature: something went wrong...
By accident I added the template to the presentation scope (translated from
dutch) instead of the default scope in the save template dialog. I figured I
might as well just drag the template listed under presentation (tree view) to
the default scope section in the template management dialog. Now it doesn't get
displayed or listed under that section. It does get listed in the save template
dialog though. Because of this I am unable to e.g. right click the template to
make it the default document template.
This bug shouldn't occur in the first place but how can I fix this in my current
install?

Also, can you tell me if the template management is improved in the upcoming 2.0
release? I don't find the current one as perfect as it should or could be so if
it's improved a bit and I have to reinstall OOo to fix the current issue I might
as well install the pre 2.0 right away.

P.s. I'm not sure I placed this bug under the right subcomponent, I didn't no
for sure in which it should be added, maybe a Template subcomponent is needed?

Hi prodoc,

thanks for using an dsupporting OpenOffice.org...

support:
- load the template via File -> Open
- File -> templates-> Save
Then you should see the template in the templates dialog...
     (file -> templates -> Organize)

reassigned to cj

mci -> cj:
Hi cj,

please have a look at this issue.
I think this handling of templates needs improvement!
