Test document saved as RTF
Additional info: The bug appears when openoffice is started with the language setting LANG=de_DE.UTF-8 which is the default for Fedora Core 3. When I set LANG=de_DE, then I can save RTF with intact Umlaut. So there remains a problem that the RTF export does not handle the Language setting properly for UTF. Hi, I can't reproduce it. Can you download the beta or a recent version (1.9.79 and up) and try again? I'm using 1.9.84 and I could save as rtf and open in OOo and other programs without any kind of problem. Hi, I'm using 1.9.79 now (which I believe is identical to the official 2.0beta?), but the problem remains. Further info: Somebody in the mailing list said that he can open my rtftest.odt document and save it as .rtf without problem with Oo1.9.79 under Windows (note: my problem occurs under linux). But my rtftest.rtf opens wrong for him. So: - it does not occur under windows - it does not occur under Fedora Core 3 with LANG=de_DE - it does happen under FC3 with LANG=de_DE.UTF-8 (the default) on my computer I don't know if anybody else has tried the same language setting. Or different languages. Is it a problem that Oo doesn't like UTF? Or is the problem specific to my computer? I'm willing to try anything, but I have no idea what setting could be responsible here. I'm certainly not aware that I have made any changes to my system that could be responsible, it seems quite standard FC3. Thanks Stephan The original problem has already been fixed (see issue 40971). The still remaining problem regarding export of UTF is already tracked in issue 43933. Though that one is about Clipboard, it also has its origin in the RTF interface. *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 40971 *** Closing duplicate. |
