Description justinclift 2005-02-11 04:07:55 UTC
Hi,

When designing a new table in the Table Design view, it only appears to be
possible to assign the primary key to a column through the right click context menu.

For example, if I have four columns:

 + PRD_ID
 + PRD_NAME
 + PRD_PRICE
 + PRD_STOCK

and I want to make the PRD_ID column, the primary key, I need to select that
column, right click on it, then choose "Primary Key".

There needs to be a way of accessing that functionality through the Menu Bar.
i.e. select the column, choose "Edit" from the Menu Bar, and there should be a
"Primary Key" option there too.

Not having this available through the Menu Bar places severe restrictions on the
types of training materials that can be developed for OOo Base (i.e. Flash has
to capability for generating, nor capturing, nor simulating right-click mouse
events).

I suspect this may impact it's Accessibility as well, but am unsure in that regard.

Regards and best wishes,

Justin Clift

Hi,

change type from DEFECT to ENHANCEMENT and reassign this issue to User
