Description betbest1 2005-02-11 16:48:15 UTC
When I save a document to my USB flashkey and close OOo Writer, and try to stop
the flashkey from the Safely Remove Hardware systray icon, I get an error saying
the device cannot be stopped at this time. However, if I close the
Quickstarter, the device can then be stopped. I apologize if this issue has
been fixed in a newer release of OOo, but, since this is a public computer and I
have no Win2K machine of my own, I am unable to verify whether or not that is
the case.

duplicate. This is a problem of the windows file open dialogs.

Nothing OOo can do about that.

The workaround is to use the OOo File dialogs (Tools|Options -> Load/Save - or
was it Tools|Options -> OOo -> General?)

Another workraround is to Point the File dialog to a different direcory after
saving to the USB-Drive.
