Description richlv 2005-03-07 10:08:42 UTC
while i used oo.org, it closed with a message that no more memory is available.
fortunately (or not) i was running oo.org with strace - but i have no idea
wether this will do any good and i don't know what to look at this output.

attached are oo.org error report and full strace output for that session.

Hi thb,

ssa suggested to let you have a look at this issue...

please have a look at it.
Maybe something around Impress-rebuilding near m77??

The attached stack looks _very_ similar to #42812#, I'd pledge for duplicate.
Please check again, when CWS presfixes01 is integrated (hopefully next week).

integrated since m86. could you please recheck? Thanks in advance, Max

@richlv: since I cannot reproduce that crash, please check again with m86 or newer.
Comment 7 richlv 2005-03-21 12:01:48 UTC
actually, this is not a crash i know how to reproduce - it just happened that i
run oo.org through strace - and i hoped that this information could help to
determine the cause :)

so, if this looks similar to other issue, there is no need to keep it open.

i would like to know though, wether strace output (such as attached one) can
help in issues when i can not reproduce them. maybe there is no need to strace
every time i run pre-2 oo.org ;)

@richlv: Okay, will then set this to duplicate and close the issue. Regarding
your question about strace: there might definitely be cases where it helps, in
this case, the stack trace was the most valuable information, though.
