Only the last of the selected range is filled. 
 
 
OOo 1.1.4 fullfills this request and also the old 8096 (is still open for 
voting :-) )

Sorry,

tried 1.1.4 using a single cell and put it into clipboard. Selecting some not
contiguous cells and paste. Got the message that it's not possible. So this is a
double to 8096 .

Sorry, it is a more a double of my 47 754   
   
You may use the given example to   
-fill some contiguous cells: Only the last field is copied.  
-Then take this date to other contiguous cells: Super, all filled.

Sorry, more a double of _47'757_   
General: A string out of clipboard copied e.g. from shell fails, internaly 
copied strings e.g. Calc are OK
