Description tboerkel 2005-05-03 07:00:08 UTC
I can import an Excel Pivot table with multiple column grouping (for ex. month and year) quite nicely. But then I cannot redefine (enlarge) the source area for the DataPilot. Also, I am not able to construct such a DataPilot from scratch, only by importing it from Excel. So, there is something lacking in the UI of the DataPilot. Attaching example excel file.

Only the first part (enlarge source area) is a duplicate. The second part (construct DataPilot with multiple column grouping) is not a duplicate.

So I re-assign this to the requirements team Please double click the DATE field in the data pilot definition window and have a look at the dialopg opened by clicking on options. Frank

Grouping is done using the Data/Outline/Group menu entry, see http://specs.openoffice.org/calc/compatibility/grouping.sxw for details.
