Is it m104 with Korean language pack installed?
What font name do you see in the box (of the dropdown list) on the tool bar when
you start Writer?

I tested this with several installations - Korean UI with language pack, English
UI with language pack, without language pack. And, this happens every case.

To show it clearly, I captured screenshot. Please check attached screen capture
if you have Windows Media Player. (Execuse me for using wmv. That is the easiest
way for me to caputer the screenshot :-))

es: Execuse me for reopening this, but my previous test was wrong. This issue is
still reproducible.

Since my last test, I sometimes experienced this issue again. My further
research revealed some interesting fact.

I currently have 183 fonts in my dropdownlist and it is ok until 101th font.
When one of those fonts is initially selected, the list is scrolled by one line
with clicking up-arrow button. This is expected behavior. However, when 102th
font is selected, the list is scrolled by two lines. And when 103th font is
initial, the list is scrolled by three lines, etc. So, there is a problem with
Times New Roman(161th) but no problem with Arial(3rd), which made me draw
incorrect conclusion.

Another interesting fact is that this problem happens only with first-time
clicking arrow since font dropdownlist is initialized. So, it is hard to notice
in font dropdownlist in toolbar. However, problem comes to very clear with font
dropdownlist in dialogs.

Please try below steps to reproduce this issue.

1. Open Writer.
2. Open Stylist (F11).
3. Right click on 'Default' style and choose Modify.
4. Go to 'Font' tab and select 'Arial' for font.
5. Click OK.

6. Right click on 'Default' style and choose Modify.
   (Now, initially selected font is Arial)
7. Expand font dropdownlist
8. Make sure that the scroll indicator is in correct position.
9. Click up-arrow button in scrool bar.
10. Make sure that the list is scrolled by one line.

11. Select 'Times New Roman' for font.
12. Click OK.

13. Right click on 'Default' style and choose Modify. 
    (Now, initially selected font is Times New Roman)
14. Expand font dropdownlist
15. Confirm that the scroll indicator is in wrong position.
16. Click up-arrow button in scrool bar.
17. Confirm that the list is scrolled by too many lines.

If you have a chance, please find your 102th font in the list and try same
thing. :-)

Still cannot reproduce it in a m178.
Even if I set "Tools - Options - Language Settings - Asian Languages" (to be
able to *expand* a listbix in the Format dialog), the vertical scrollbar always
scrolls of one entry for any font.

a screen capture that shows incorrect behavior of font list in m180

jeongkyu -> es: Please have a look at my new screen capture. It was taken from
m180 in which font list still shows incorrect behavior.

I am also able to reproduce this behavior in OO.o 2.0.2 in Ubuntu Dapper.

God news: HDU and OS can reproduce it!

I can reproduce this in 2.1.0 on Linux. I was about to enter a new issue until I
made one more search and found this one ;-)

Here is what I was about to report, although it doesn't add too much new:

1. File > New > Text document
2. Right click > Edit paragraph style
3. Font tab; click the dropdown arrow on the font combo.
   The drop down list is scrolled to show the current font
   setting as the top entry.
4. Scroll the font list by clicking on the scrollbar up arrow.
   The font list jumps to a completely different position unrelated
   to the current setting.

I agree: this only happens when there is a long list of fonts and the currently
selected font (the dropdown initial position) is past a certain point in the
list. I have about 400 entries in the font list.

To see the correct operation, close the dialog and repeat the above steps.
Instead of using the scrollbar to scroll the list, use the UP-ARROW cursor key.
Note how the scroll bar handle jumps to a new position.

Once the scrollbar handle has sync'ed up like this, it will be correct for as
long as the dialog is open.

Every font list dropdown in the entire suite behaves this way, so it may be a
problem in the widget itself.

+0000 2006 are concerning problems in the Format Character dialog, what behaves
completely different from Toolbar dropdown list. If I don't misunderstand, the
original report is concerning a problem with Toolbar dropdown  - what ever that
might mean. I hope the Format Character dialog will be fixed soon.
