Description umr5174 2005-05-30 20:07:36 UTC
I click on
File: new: templates and documents: templates: notes
(which is one of my OOo 1.1.4 templates)
I write a "Title 1" with heading 1 style (Bitstream Vera Sans font),
"Title 2" with heading 2 style (Bitstream Vera Sans font),
"Text corpus" with text body style (Lucida Sans font).
I click on cnt+f: More options: format: Bitstream Vera Serif
the 1st line, then the 2nd, then the 3rd lines get selected !
If I search 'Bitstream Vera Sans", nothing is found !
This file is saved as "wrong_find.odt" .

If I do the same process with no template (File: New: Text document),
nothing is found in either case.

If I convert my template (opening it as a template, saving it as a OOo 2
template under the name notes_OOo2.ott) into OOo2 template format,
then create a new template according to this new template,
then do the same process,
"only" the 1st line (Heading 1, so Bitstream Vera Sans) is found by Bitstream
Vera Serif search,
nothing is found by searching Bitstream Vera Sans.
This file is saved as "wrong_find_bis.odt" .

Please describe your search parameters (strings, options, etc...).
It works find with following parameters:
Find: <nothing>
[Format] -> Bitstream Vera Sans
[X] Including Styles
Comment 8 umr5174 2005-06-28 13:55:52 UTC
I'd forgotten to check "Including Styles". Thank you.
This explains why OOo couldn't find Bitstream Vera Sans-fonted characters,
but it still doesn't explain why it finds Bitstream Vera Sans-fonted characters
when I look for Bitstream Vera Serif-fonted ones,
which is still the behaviour of OOo1.9.109 on a new file based on the same
notes.stw OOo1 template.

"but it still doesn't explain why it finds Bitstream Vera Sans-fonted characters
when I look for Bitstream Vera Serif-fonted ones,"

I cannot reproduce this at all!
Please check that you search for the correct font...

It works with OOo 1.9.113 . If Nagashree agrees, you can close this issue. Thanks.

I am even not able to replicate the issue with the latest builds,
Hence closing this.
