How to reproduce:
- create new (empty) drawing
- insert new slide
- change page format to landscape
Now preview of two slides updates correctly - both are landscape.
- do "undo" action
Slides in drawing area rotated correctly back (are portrait), but preview did
not change (is still landscape)

Tested in czech version (cs) 1.9.105, but it does not seems to be localization
problem.

No, it's not a duplicate. issue 48512 is about he preview area in the page setup
dialogue and affects all OOo components.
This one (issue 50095) is about the new slides / pages preview pane in draw and
impress.

It is not bug specific to Windows platform. The same behaviour is also on Linux
in SUSE (Novel) version 1.9.125.1.2
