The BOLD and ITALIC buttons do not work on my X11 copy of
Version 1.1.2 on Mac OSX 4

MRU->CP: seems to be MAC only problem. Please reaasign to appropriate developer.

make sure that the font you're using actually comes with a bold and/or italic
version. 
I think this is a duplicate of issue 18285

cloph is right - this really is not an issue.
I was wedded to a font that does not come with
bold and/or italic in this w/p. An alternative
that does is quite satisfactory.
