Description mkrisch 2005-07-07 12:58:04 UTC
i believe this issue, is releated to issue 41801. not only does impress not
handle customized motion paths, but it breaks such path when importing from
powerpoint and the distance or path has been changed from the default.

impress appears to get confused and the object seems to leap off the page and
then reappears.

Reassigned.

I can't reproduce the bug.
I created a document which contains 8 numbers and a custom motion path lead the
object from one number to the other.
Everything works great after import the file in OOo.
Please attach a document to reproduce the bug.

Comment 4 mkrisch 2005-07-19 03:11:07 UTC
the attached presentation was created in powerpoint. a light blue square moves
from one dark blue dot to the next in a clockwise motion on each mouse click.

the paths were created by adding a motion path, and then moving the path
indicator to the correct point.

when imported into impress (1.9.113), on the first click the square disappears,
and then reappears, coming down to from the upper right to land on target on the
second dot. on the next mouse click, it simply disappears never to reappear
again. a final click gives it the last path, but again, it is still never seen.
one more click ends the presentation.

Set to new and change the target.
Comment 6 christian.guenther 2005-07-20 18:38:19 UTC
I can reproduce the bug.
The imported motion paths are correct but the start and end points of the motion
paths are wrong.
I don't know if this is your od THBs bug.
Please have a look and send the issue to THB when this is not your area.

sj->cl: can you please take over this issue, you know best what can be done.
Comment 8 thb 2005-07-29 11:23:36 UTC
@cl: if roundtrip works, I'd suggest that's one for me or DBO.
Comment 9 thb 2005-07-29 12:03:12 UTC
adding myself to cc list.
Comment 10 webmaster 2006-06-11 08:24:36 UTC
Why can't OpenOffice just add support for custom motion paths -period-? If it
can import them, surely actually the creating them is not a huge quantam leap?

Kind Regards,
Matthew

Isn't it the same problem as issue 41800?
Comment 12 clippka 2007-11-28 14:29:46 UTC
cl->sj: custom motion path should be working since OOo 2.3. So this seems to be
an import issue
Comment 13 sven.jacobi 2008-05-26 17:37:54 UTC
changed target
Comment 14 webmaster 2008-06-03 08:52:01 UTC
I think this issue can be closed now. This works in Openoffice 2.4.0, at least
for me.
Comment 15 chris 2008-07-29 17:18:45 UTC
I did not see these problems either when testing with OOo 2.4.1
