Description mkrisch 2005-07-07 13:03:08 UTC
when creating a presentation with complex custom animations, one of the more difficult aspects come when needing to line up new objects based on the position of other objects following an animation event. what is needed is a way to view an object in it's post animation position while editing the slide.

Created attachment 27762 [details] animation editing example
Comment 2 mkrisch 2005-07-07 13:05:22 UTC
as an example, take a look at the attached presentation. block 'A' moves to the left when the mouse button is clicked. try editing the slide such that the 'A' box will line up right on top of the 'B' box.

This is an enhancement and not a defect. It should be possible to add a motion path which I created by my own. It should also be possible to change the predefined motion paths.
Comment 5 mkrisch 2005-07-15 06:30:54 UTC
with regards to changing the predefined motion paths, it's worth looking at issues 41801 and 51671.

Strange that this issue sits inactive for such a long time. It would make Impress a killer tool for animated presentations.
Comment 7 gsasha 2007-12-27 10:55:26 UTC
Strange this issue has been in the UNCONFIRMED state for so long. It would make Impress a killer tool for animations.
