Layouts with more than 6 slides are missing (I suggest 8 and 9 slides layouts)
and the default space between slides must be reduced to allow larger slides (it
is possible to change slide sizes but it requires a lot of work from user).

Make the templates for Handout layouts for flexible. E.g. add more
than 6 slides to a handout.

In addition: Overtaken in this context is the wish, to have available also the
handout format with some slides and besides them some lines for text.

I do agree that handout leaves too much white space and user has no way to 
control the size of slide drawings on the page.

Dear developers,
please consider providing means to control zoom factor for "thumbnails" in 
handout mode.

It has been 5 years and 6 months since this bug has been open; it's impossible
to estimate the number of trees that have been cut due to the ridiculous amount
of paper wasted by this bug.

I'm attaching a screenshot hoping that someone will take this issue seriously.

When, oh when, will the inter-slide margins/spacing be adjustable? Too much
whitespace!

The "double" issue says nothing about resizing thumbnails, are you sure this is
a duplicate??

CL improved also the size of the handouts on the slide.
Please have a look of the new feature.
If you think the size of the handouts still have to be improved please write a
new issue for this.
According to the summary this issue is about 6 and 9 handouts per slide and this
works great.

reduce white space between slides in handout view.
