xls spreadsheet with charts none

Description Unknown 2002-05-29 08:12:55 UTC
I'm researching to use openoffice instead of microsoft office. Our goal is for
heavy users to use microsoft and lite users something else. But it must be
compatible with microsoft.
When I import an excel spreadsheet with al lot of charts, openoffice imports
the spreadsheet not correct. All of the charts are incorrect. Some chart types
are changed. By example I have made a bar chart and when imported it's a line
chart. All text has changed ...

When someone want to spreadsheet I can send it by e-mail.

Well, this document collects a lot of problems of our current chart
implementation.
The chart engine will be completely reimpemented soon. I can fix
most of the problems only with this new chart.

Reminder: All problems
found

Sheet "Bedr. gez."
- Legend does not support "hard-coded" series titles,
only cell contents can be used.
- Chart-only-sheets not supported. Import inserts a
chart object into a standard sheet.

Sheet "Per bedrijf"
- same as
above

Sheet "% Grafiek"
- This kind of combined chart (bars, then lines) not
supported yet (left charts), OOo chart only allows that the first series is a line in
combined charts
- If all data series contain only one value, the import makes one
series with all values (right charts)
