Description vogella 2005-09-01 12:55:54 UTC
Hello,

please try to use select all (Control + a) in the attached document to select
everything. It does not work. I would like to do the following:
1.) Select all
2.) Press the delete key to delete every

This is in my opinion a very effective way to take the layout over to a new
document. ;-)

Best regards, Lars

Reassigned to SBA.
Comment 3 stefan.baltzer 2005-09-02 17:29:27 UTC
SBA: For some reason, the paragraph on top of the index refuses a manual
selection in either directions, too. A newly created document of a similar
structure does not behave like that. I adjusted the summary accordingly.
SBA->FLR: This document used to be a MS Word document (to be seen by the names
of custom paragraph styles in the styles and formatting window <F11>)
Please have a look if this is something that has to be adressed in the filter
(OK, for this, the source MS Word doc would be a help...) or... FME? OS? Karl Hong?
Please proceed.

Ok tried to re-create a simular word document. Please try the following. Import
the word file, delete the imported table of content and create a new table of
content -> select all does not work.

Hello,

is their a way to manually fix this for existing document? All my documents
orginate from MS Word and it is frustrating not to be able to select all by Cntrl+A.

Best regards, Lars

An workaround for this selection:

- Go to top of document (Ctrl + Home)
- While not end of document
  - Extend selection (Shift + Ctrl + End)
- End while

In the two documents of example, it's functional.

(sorry for my bad english)

I confirm bug for Writer version 3.1.0 (OOO310m11 build 9399). It also can't
select all in Part01_Test4.odt.
