create a new writer document; draw a line.
enable edit points; add a point in the middle of the line.
select the point, click on "split curve"
curve is not simply split, insted two step action is performed - point is 
removed and then the rest of object is inserted back.
unfortunately, it is inserted in some other location.
approach used in draw would be better - single action in undo history, objects 
keep their place.

MRU->OD: when spliting a curve in the described way, one of the parts will be
placed at a new position.
