select object, enable edit points.
zoom to 100 or more % (to better see the effect).
add a point in lower straight part - jumps up so that the area that was edited 
is not visible any more.
it does not do so if the point is moved, so should not jump also when it is 
inserted - also in other applications view is not changed when the point is 
added.
