The behaviour was changed afaik a short time ago in that way, that impress always opens up on the first page. Maybe the settings in the options weren't part of the restructuring. @CJ: what is to be done here, should the setting in the options-general-view window be deleted? IMHO the option should absolutely not deleted! Instead it should be available and working on all types of documents. The reason I see for this is that while you are editing the doc, especially if you have many other things to do on your job and have to open and close the file many times, it is MUCH easier to pick up where you left it whe the file opens at exactly the same place. Of course when you do the presentation you generally want to start from the beginning, but going to the start is an easy and automatic operation. Instead, recollecting where you were working the last time you closed the file is far from trivial if the file is large and complicated. |
