AFAIK we tried exactly that (guessing your browser). Reassign issue to owner of selected subcomponent more info - mozilla fails if there is no prior instance of mozilla already running. registration works OK only when mozilla is already running. upon failure, mozilla produces error message: /usr/lib/mozilla/mozilla-bin: relocation error: /usr/lib/libjsj.so: undefined symbol: __vt_24nsGetServiceByContractID still more info - same error message when selecting URI in swriter document when no prior mozilla instance is running. external program set to "/usr/bin/mozilla". The settings in Tools - Options - OpenOffice.org - External Programs are to choose a mail program, not to choose a Browser. OpenOffice used the default Browser. Comments from Help: Send Document As Message With: Here you indicate which program to use to send a document as a message when you choose File - Send. The program you select here will also be started when you click on a mailto: URL in a document. Default e-mail program Mark this box if you want to start the default e-mail program registered on your system to send e-mails from OpenOffice.org. Others Here you select a program to use for e-mail. Profiles Select a profile. The profile determines how parameters are passed to the program. Program Enter the path and name of the program or select it by clicking on the ... button. Uwe, No, sorry, but Tools->Options->OpenOffice.org->External Programs contains the section "Execute links using" wherein I have set the "HTTP" field to "/usr/bin/mozilla". As best I can tell, the problem is caused by an incomplete LD_LIBRARY_PATH envar (or something quite similar). For me Registration leads to Registration and is instantly redirected to Introduction, where after reading half an hour one can undersand that currently the Registration does not work. If would be very helpful somebody to place there are shorter and more clear explanation. Reassigned to Olaf. Hi Andreas, I think this is yours. Nevertheless I think it's an enhancement. Hi, I can't reproduce this bug, it works for me without any problems. As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved <wontfix/duplicate/worksforme/invalid> issues.
