A white-space in font name is not Zenkaku(Multibyte) character.
Alphabet in font name is Zenkaku(Multibyte) character.

Hi htanaka,

Thank you for filing an issue.

Could you explain your problem a little bit more?
This issue looks like issue 30429. See its snapshot.
Do you have the same problem?

The issue 30429 is not still closed completely.Not only "kochgothic" but also
another fonts has same problem.

Japanese character-set has 2 way alphabet(regexp:[A-Za-z]) encodings.
1.ASCII compatible singlebyte encoding (narrowly displayed)
2.ASCII incompatible doublebyte encoding (widely displayed)

Japanese Windows uses doublebyte alpabet encoding for OS standerd fonts,
but VCL is written in singlebyte version for standerd fonts in locale "ja".

See this page with Japanese fonts.
Find below tokens and replace:
MS ゴシック ---> MS ゴシック
MS P ゴシック ---> MS Pゴシック
MS æ˜Žæœ ---> ï¼ï¼³ 明æœ
MS P æ˜Žæœ ---> ï¼ï¼³ P明æœ
MSゴシック ---> MS ゴシック
MSPゴシック ---> MS Pゴシック
ï¼ï¼³æ˜Žæœ ---> ï¼ï¼³ 明æœ
ï¼ï¼³ï¼°æ˜Žæœ ---> ï¼ï¼³ P明æœ

htanaka: Thanks, now i understand the problem with you.

Problem
  The current default font name, for example, in Writer Japanese
  defined in VCL.xcu is MS P æ˜Žæœ that does not match the actual
  font name defined in the font file msmincho.ttc which names
  itself ï¼ï¼³ P明æœ.

Reproduce
  1. Run OOo/SS Writer Japanese on Microsoft Windows Japanese.
  2. Confirm that a font name combo box in the tool bar shows
     MS P 明æœ
  3. Click a right button on your mouse to get a context menu.
  4. Go to the sub menu Font.
  5. Try to find a check mark in the list of font names installed
     in the Windows system.

     You can not find any check mark in the list.

  6. Replace MS P æ˜Žæœ with ï¼ï¼³ ï¼°æ˜Žæœ in the font name combo box.
  7. Do the same as step 5.

     Now you can find a check mark in font of ï¼ï¼³ P明æœ.

Notes
  Be aware of the space letter between ï¼ï¼³ and P明æœ. It is u0020,
  a space letter in ASCII, not an ideograph space u3000.

  For Unicode encoding, see
  http://www.unicode.org/Public/UNIDATA/NamesList.txt

  Changed the summary field.
  Forwarded to gsl.

Researching commonly used font files has just started.
Please wait making modifications into VCL.xcu until the research is
finished.

Please assign this issue to Tora temporally.

Thanks,
Tora
