When a large animated gif is inserted into the presentation program it is played
except when selected. This slows editing of the presentation slide considerably
and makes the user interface far less responsive even on fast machines. An
option to play the animated gif during layout should be added and the default
should be not to play it.

In the options dialog (Tools / Options / Accessibility) an option allows to play
or stop animated graphics.
