Reassigned to ES. I cannot reproduce this problem. Quite all options (some cannot be shown such as "Character style") get updated in the preview. Please describe which options you are talking about and which OOo version is concerned. This is for OOo version 2.0. I've verified it on Linux and Win32. The autocaption options in the upper dialog section (labeled "Caption") all work properly. The options in the second section, labeled "Numbering captions by chapter" are both ignored. Changing the "level" and changing the "separator" both have no effect on the preview box. If you set some "numbering captions by chapter" options, (for example, changing the level from "None" to "2"), and then go to your document and add a table or whatever, and then come back to the dialog box, the preview box is filled out correctly. But the preview box only seems to only pick up those "numbering captions by chapter" options when the dialog box is created/opened. IMHO: it's not a bug a missing design. The Prview only supports a dummy numbering at level 1. Requalifying to ENHANCEMENT. ES->OS/FL: Should we / Can we: 1) display a full numbering with sublevel in the preview when the user changes the the level and the separator? 2) If yes: would it be a dummy default preview or could we retrieve the numbering style of the current document? This Issue requires more information ('needmoreinfo'), but has not been updated within the last year. Please re-test with one of the latest versions of OOo - the problem(s) may have already been addressed. Either use the recent stable version: http://download.openoffice.org/index.html or consider trying the new OOo 3 BETA (still in testing): http://download.openoffice.org/3.0beta/ Please report back the outcome so this Issue may be closed or progressed as necessary - otherwise it may be Resolved as Invalid in the future. Problem remains. |
