Description jleedev 2005-10-24 18:02:55 UTC
Autocorrect uses its own capitalization when inserting a correction, instead of
trying to match the user's text.

Typing TEH or Teh always gets replaced with "the", while it should match the
capitals.

Examples:
TEH -> THE
Teh -> The

Confirming with OO 2.0.3 (m180) on Win XP - original capitalization is not
retained.

SBA: Reassigned to OS.
Comment 4 Oliver Specht 2006-09-13 18:33:40 UTC
Sorry, this is an enhancement request. AutoCorrection was not designed to
support capitalization. Reassigned to requirements.

Still a problem in 00.o 2.04 -- I use autocorrect extensively to expand certain
abbreviations and this is quite an annoying bug, especially when you're starting
a new line and the word is the first in the sentence.

This is still happening in OpenOffice.org 3.2.1. Are there any plans for fixing
this?
