Summary: Define Handling of Hyperlinks in OOo
Product: General Reporter: frank.loehmann
Component: uiAssignee: frank.loehmann
Status: CLOSED DUPLICATE QA Contact: issues@framework <issues>
Severity: Trivial
Priority: P3 CC: issues, kpalagin, Mathias_Bauer
Version: OOo 2.0
Target Milestone: OOo 2.x
Hardware: All
OS: All
Issue Type: ENHANCEMENT Latest Confirmation in: ---
Developer Difficulty: ---

Description frank.loehmann 2005-10-26 14:29:44 UTC
The new Security tab page in OOo 2.0 does not allow to define the hyperlink
handling anymore. The replacement for this, already planned for OOo 2.0, has not
been implemented due to lack of resources. For OOo 3.0 we have to re-consider
the handling of hyperlinks (in and external) for all apps.

Recommendation:

"Normal Writer Edit Mode Behavior

A tip help is shown (see string table below for details) when the mouse is
placed on a URL. If the CTRL key is pressed, the i-beam cursor changes to a
finger cursor and a click on the link opens the URL in the system's browser.

String list
'<URL> CTRL+click to follow link'
'<URL> Strg+Klick zum Verfolgen der Verknüpfung'

If target is not within the current document.
The URL tip help is limited to a width of 45 characters, because URLs could
become very long."

Comment 2 kpalagin 2007-05-03 12:24:47 UTC
This issue seems to be dup http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?
id=22133, which has 7 votes.

We also have
http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=63475
http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=5453
http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=53153
http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=4365

Shall we consolidate all of them in one and get it going?
WBR,
Kirill Palagin.
Comment 3 Mathias_Bauer 2007-05-03 13:44:26 UTC
If somebody "consolidated" all these issues into one noone would object. :-)
