Description muckypaws 2005-10-29 10:48:58 UTC
Hello,

Running Windows XPsp2, Word 2003 and Openoffice 2.0 final release.

I have a simple document created in Word 2003 which renders and prints
correctly. However, using Openoffice to open the same document (Microsoft
Word2003 Native .DOC) additional spurious characters are inserted at the end
of each word which in turn gets printed.

The document itself isn't particularly special. It was a template for a
wedding table name, therefore dimensions are smaller than A4, no special
formatting etc.

I would like to attach the document for your viewing (its small < 50kb)

The text is in frames and there is a hex 07 character at the end of every word.
This look like a serious import problem. If it is more general (and I don't have
office 2003 to test with) it breaks imports with text frames badly.

MRU->FLR: the text is placed in a table which is located ina text object. This
seems to interpreted wrongly, so that a kind of special character has been added
on import.

Hello, Using the same files submitted to yourselves which demonstrated the
bug. This appears to be fixed in the 2.0.1 general release.

Not sure if you changed the code or another module has changed.

Kind Regards
Jason
