Description revuz 2005-11-02 14:34:52 UTC
It is possible to change the standard layout for handout to optimise printing
space (for example) but there is no visible ways to save them.
So each time i must print with my personal page layout i must rebuild it ...

Reassigned.

This is a feature and not a bug.

I'd like to submit this as a request for enhancement, then. It seems rather
silly not to allow users to save handout (and other) layouts, especially
considering one of the most-used (for teaching, at least) handout layouts is
missing: slides on the left and lines on the right for note taking.

What's the thinking behind this?

The same goes for not allowing the resizing of slides/images in the handout layout.

I believe your issue may be fixed with:
Issue 85355 - Enhance handout printing in impress

- available in the new OOo 3 BETA (still in testing):
http://download.openoffice.org/3.0beta/

Please consider testing this new release and report back the outcome so this
Issue may be Closed or Progressed as necessary.

Many thanks,
Andrew

Hi *,
In Dev300/OOo3.0 Beta there is the choise for three pages pers slide + lines for
comment, which is a great imrovement (see issue 85355).
In 2.4.1 one can change the layout of hand outs to certain level: change
position and add lines with shapes and such. This works fine and saves, as long
as you do not select another hand out design ;-)
In Dev300_m23 you can change the lay out, but it will not print: the slides are
printed in the original position.
When you save a lay out in 2.4.1, it is shown in Dev300_m23, but also does not
print.

I confirm this issue and set to new.

Changed summary.
Was "Can't create personal handout layout".
Is "Can't save personal handout layout (position / shapes - the size of the
slides is not involved)"

I missed something: pressing F4 when an image is selected, offers the
possibility to unprotext the size. So also the size can be changed. Only yo
cannot really save changes in a save way, as explained before.
Thus change summary again.

still the same in 3.1.1
