After having created a Query with a parameter in the HSQL database, the Query
runs fine within the database.  When I create a document (odt or ott) and insert
database fields from this Query, run the mail merge, I get no output.

I will attach both the odb and odt files.

Note: It doesn't matter if I create the odt file by click-n-drag the database
headers from the navigator or if I create the odt file by Insert | Fields |
Other | Database | Mail Merge Fields | Insert.  The result is the same.

The Query that links the ott to the odb is called SalesInvoices_Writer

Hi,

I can reproduce this. 

A Mail Merge with a parameter query doesn't work, because no parameter input
dialog appear.

Set target and send to the right developer.

I think this issue can be closed.

I don't know why helgekraak said this issue can be closed.  We still have no
parameter input dialog appearing.  Can we resubmit this for another look?  I
tested again with OO.o Beta 3.0 and it still is an open issue.
