Taken from the NLC forum: As in the summary. OOo should be equipped with some
tool that lets us draw tables using a mouse for quicker and better performance.

Decreasing priority. Some functional table painting has been introduced in 2.0.
For skilled editor such bells and whistles are not that important.

Well, this could actually bail out the user from various other bugs and
limitations of Writer. So this is not exactly a "bell-and-whistle" category feature.
