actually I thought I saw them, but now they are not in the cell-property 
dialogue box anymore.

Add all line styles that are available in OO.o Draw to every border
line style available in OO.o
Note: This is also an MS Office filter relevant issue.

issue. 
If you confirm with the target OO.o 2.0, then please keep it on your
owner (or the owner of the concerning developer) for implementation.

Cor-> Cor: no, this is not implemented in 2.x; see the posibilites in Draw ;-)
This also infuenced spreadsheets, of course.

This issue should be scheduled for urgent fixing. It has first been submitted 
as early as 2002 -- please read issue 8275 for further ref. and history of 
(quite a number of) desperate (yet unsolved) requests.

The issue really /is/ important, as dashed or dotted lines as borders esp. in 
tables are quite frequent.

Please tackle this ...

Wow this hasn't been done since 8,5 Years, thats a pretty long time.

And you keep telling me, the only way to get a dotted border around a tablecell in writer is to draw a rectangle around the cell? By hand?

Maybe there are some reason to pay money for a competing product... Thats ridiculous, not?
