Description raindrops 2006-01-16 12:12:45 UTC
The "hyperlinks" window has a child window called "target in document". Both
are designed to stay open while the user works on the document.

Nice idea. But in actual practice, this does not happen: As soon as you enter
ANYTHING in the document, the "target in document" window senses that and starts
updating itself. During this period, editing is disabled. You have to wait till
the window is refreshed.

This is self-defeating: It would be better to close the "target in document"
window each time!

Suggestion: Make this a background process so that the window does not hold up
editing.

I cannot reproduce this refresh/wait problem.
Please add a sample document and describe step by step what you do and wich
dialog are open.

At last! After 13 months of wait, finally some answer!

Well, the observation is true for a large document (sample is already with MRU).

@OS: it apeears to be a Windows only problem (tested also on Linux).
Can we improve the performance?

This Issue requires more information ('needmoreinfo'), but has not been updated
within the last year. Please re-test with one of the latest versions of OOo -
the problem(s) may have already been addressed. Either use the recent stable
version: http://download.openoffice.org/index.html
or consider trying the new OOo 3 BETA (still in testing):
